I always wanted to be a RJ somehow. It kinda feels cool to be able to make hundreds of people listen to you. And you don’t have to keep thinking about how you’re looking ! 
Good stuff huh.
Here are the things you need :
- Have a good voice (and by that I mean, have a voice that sounds good on a microphone)
- Have good command over the local language (telugu in our case), Hindi and English as well.
- Have good general awareness. Be tuned into the latest happenings in the world (read newspapers reguarly i guess)
- Have a good reason as to why you want to become a RJ. (Sounds like a cool thing to do is NOT a good reason)
- Listen to a lot of radio ! Know everything from how a RJ works to the no. of hrs he works.
- A degree in communications/ media will go a long way in finding you a RJ spot.
- Read up a lot on the Radio station that you are planning to apply to.
- Last but not the least, be confident like for any other job and believe in yourself.
The best and the easiest way to apply for a RJ post at any Radio station is to be proactive and apply for it directly rather than waiting for a talent hunt to start !

They have just launched the first ever Internet Only Hyderabad Radio.

I think they just launched on New Year.
I was also surprised when I heard on their radio that they are willing to play serials, shows, music from local Hyderabadi’s. I think this is the first time anyone has done this in India.
The Radio Content is being provided by the listeners.
Maybe its a promotional offer..but I just recorded something in my own voice and sent it to them.
Kudos to these people….its so tough for aspiring voice artists to showcase their talent to the world..

You are shouting much. Cant you have some soft tone so that each word of yours can be clearly heard! Secondly you have only some monotonous songs for FM Radio Mirchi. People are fed up hearing the same. Himesh Rashamia and some new remix numbers have spoilt the charm of Radio Mirchi. You should change some new and old songs of Lata, Asha, Raffi, Talat, Alka, Anuradh, Lucky Ali and several new comers but you are focousing on only Reshamia and faty Adnana Sammy. I am intrested to work as RJ, the only reason is people feel relaxed and they enjoy listening to my words . And i dont feel Shame making them laugh and Happy b’coz Every one needs relaxation and i feel good giving them so. A little smile on their faces and Nice feeling in Heart from the busy life. In this world every one is working like nothing less than a machine . So , they need something to make them think about the relations and culture they are forgetting about .This is my concept sir. The most important is the skills for voicing. I have written few articles on voicing which you can share on http://www.voiceartistes.com . When you know some skills in voicing and are confident, then market yourself.

I am Zameer Ahmed and since last 11 and a half year I been associated corporate world as as sales professional. But my major interest was in radio as I do have considerably good communication skills.. Been always inclined toward profession of RJ. Now I am thinking seriously to full fill my desire of being RJ.
