I visited there last week and it was really a fantastic experience. I might redo it next year. However, the info that rafting is only offerred in two places is not correct. Its offered in Indus River in Ladakh. see http://holidayhomeindia.com/update/2010/02/26/rafting-in-indus-river/ . Its done in Zanskar River in Ladakh, in Teesta River in West Bengal. In the Beas River in Himachal Pradesh and also in Brahmaputra River in Assam. Hope one day I can cover all of them. Glad to read your post.
