Yuppy

Do any of you know what a Yuppy is? Have you heard someone say it, but were too uninterested to ask what it meant?

Last night, I was told that a yuppy stands for Young Urban Professional. Now, people think its cool to make up slang and call each other by these names. I, on the other hand would hate it if someone called me something like Yuppy.

How can anyone who uses Yuppy in a sentence be cool ?

Here is a conversation:
Guy1- Hey, for someone who is as yuppy as you are, you should be partying tonight.
Girl 1- I’m so yuppy that I have two dates tonight.
Some cool guy who thinks Yuppy is a crappy word: *walks out of there*
